Monadnock Rod & Gun Club -

Street Address:

Monadnock Rod & Gun Club, Inc.

Jaffrey/Peterborough town line

595 Jaffrey Road - Route 202W

Peterborough, NH 03458

Coming from the north/east on Route 202W, cross Route 101 in Peterborough heading toward Jaffrey about 3.1 miles, and as you're heading up a long, right-hand curve that starts to switchback left, look for a break in the guardrail on your right, soon after you pass Community Lane on your left, and just as the road widens to two westbound lanes. It's a sharp turn into the Gun Club entrance. If you pass Lehtinen Rd. on your right, and Davidson Rd. on your left then you just missed the turnoff.

Coming from the south/west driving northbound on 202E, drive to the lights in downtown Jaffrey (Routes 202, 124, and 137 meet here), follow 202 (202E) for a bit over 3.1 miles. When you pass Lehtinen Rd. (on your left) and Davidson Rd. on your right on a long right-hand downhill curve, look for the small Quaker Meeting sign on your right, slow down and prepare to turn, the Club entrance will be at a break in-the-guardrail on your left.  If you pass Community Lane on your right, you just passed the Club’s entrance back on your left.

Longitude: -71.98155° (W71° 59.167')

Personal Firearms:

All firearms must be secured in your vehicle if you bring any onto the Club property during this NHF&G event.  State Law prohibits the carrying of personal firearms or ammunition.  This includes law enforcement officers and first responders in attendance. Only the on-duty NHF&G Conservation Officer is exempt from this prohibition.

This event is being held outdoors under a large 70'x30' open-sided pavilion. You will be seated at picnic tables. There is a kitchen on the grounds that will serve very reasonably priced hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries during our lunch break if you care to take advantage of such. We have bottled water, many brands of soda, and coffee available in the kitchen. There is also a soda machine under the pavilion.

If you do not care to take advantage of the onsite fare, then please bring something to snack on, it's a long day. As a note if you head west (right-hand turn out of the Club) onto Route 202, there is a McDonald's restaurant about 3 miles away in downtown Jaffrey with a small Diner, a Subway and a Dunkin Donuts across the street, along with other restaurants, and convenience stores like Dollar General and Family Dollar.

Things to consider: identification, Signed Parental Approval Form (downloadable at the registration website) writing utensils, notepad, seat pad (seating is at wooden picnic tables with attached benches, with pew bench cushions), and $5 for the class fee.
